Our Approach
For some, scheduling is just a tick box exercise. We beg to differ! There is a science and an element of art to scheduling. The key to building or rebuild a schedule is 'traceability'. Activities, key milestones and dependencies should be traceable to programme milestones. We support our clients to achieve this by:
- developing an IMS with a clear critical-path
- aligning all activities and milestones to programme milestones
- ensuring the schedule integrity is maintained
- ensuring all key stakeholders endorse the schedule
- ensuring schedule baseline is established
- defining schedule levels/density
- ensuring accurate project status definition
- providing schedule reports that accurately reflect performance and progress
- conducting schedule health checks to ensure the schedule is living and dynamic
- ensuring the schedule is flexible enough to reflect changes in the project or programme.
Commercials
We generally deliver either a one-off scheduling solution or provide a self-contained piece of work over a short or medium term.
Before we commence work, we will agree the scope of work, our deliverables, duration and costings with clients. This is usually done by agreeing to a formal statement of work (SoW). The SoW will determine whether we will only make recommendations and step away for your team to implement. Or perhaps, you would like us to also implement the new scheduling solutions and handover to your PMO in due course.
We are also flexible to work with you on a day rate contracting basis. This will be based on outside IR35 contract arrangement which implies that we will provide scheduling specialists who will have:
- work delivered without clients' control or supervision
- autonomy over where they work from, when they work and manage the services to clients in an effective and most efficient manner
- clear start and finish dates with opportunity to amend contract if work evolves
- the right of substitution and handover to other scheduling experts without additional cost to clients
- to file tax return with HMRC and do not required to be on your payroll.
